Please update to Affont 1.1.2 (it offers the update when you open it, or use About Affont ▸ Check for updates), then import the Affinity scripts again: in Affont, Settings ▸ “Scripts for Affinity (.afscripts)…”; in Affinity, Script Library ▸ ▾ menu ▸ Import scripts…
With the new scripts, when Send finds nothing, the message under “All cells are empty” tells you why:
“Text not converted to curves”: the letters are live text. Select them and use Layer ▸ Convert to Curves.
“Shapes outside the cells”: each letter goes to the cell under its center, so move it until its center is inside the cell.
“Shapes with no fill or stroke”: give them a fill color.
“There’s nothing inside the cells”: no vector shapes, paint or images were found inside the cells.
“Couldn’t find the template cells”: run “Affont - Create template” again.
Also new in 1.1.2: if your letters are images or brush strokes, they work now too. Anything painted in the Pixel studio, or an image placed over a cell, arrives as a bitmap letter, just as it is.
If it still says the cells are empty, send me a screenshot of the message and of your Layers panel.
Hi--I'm doing something wrong. Affont confirms version 1.1.2, but even after re-adding the scripts in Affinity, it looks like they're v 1.0.9 "Affont 1.0.9 All cells are empty: draw at least one glyph." I can't see a way to get newer scripts
--UPDATE--
I figured it out. Many thanks!
