For CNC applications like plotters, we use single line fonts (as opposed to outline fonts) which creates characters using a single stroke (like in calligraphic handwriting with a pencil) , not an outline around each letter.
This is the only thing holding me back from purchasing!

Unfortunately, not for now. Affont makes standard fonts (OTF, TTF, WOFF), the same kind every app and printer uses. In these fonts, each letter is a filled shape, which is how fonts are made to look right on screen and in print.
Single-line fonts are a different kind of font: they store only the path the pen follows, which is what plotters and CNC machines need. Your request is noted for future updates, but since it’s a very specific case, it can’t be promised, at least not in the short term.
